Magic System Appendix: Continuity Map
Canon continuity decisions for the rewritten magic system documentation.
Scope
This map separates retained magic rules from the revised novel canon. For plot, timeline, and character identity, Core Story Architecture is authoritative.

- The Field: Omnipresent Consciousness
- Memory Fuel: The Price of Magic
- The Six Amesha Spentas: Resonance Currents
- Trinity Conduits: Advanced Resonance

New Canon Anchors

- Magic System Appendix: Scene Guide
- Magic System Appendix: Continuity Map
Reframed Relationships
- Core vs mythic: Core casting rules now stand independent of cosmology details.
- Spectrum role: Spectra are expression profiles, not separate fuel pools.
- Scale economics: Nodes and channelers are the default mechanism for institutional power.
- Taboo escalation: Void-ore is formally classified as moral-collapse acceleration, not advanced training.
- Farr position: Farr remains meta-legitimacy, outside ordinary resonance channels.
- Blood-key: A rare lineage grants access to the exceptional solar interface; it is not a new current or a universal fuel source.
- Bijan: An artificial person with memory impressions, not a resurrection or a vessel that contains the original.
- Old chapter drafts: Chapters 1-8 are superseded and unpublished pending rewrite; their prose is retained as noncanonical source material.
Deprecated Interpretations
- "Equivalent exchange" style assumptions of balanced trade are deprecated.
- Any implication of consequence-free mass magic is deprecated.
- Any reading of void-ore as recoverable experimentation is deprecated.
- The old chapter framing of Anahita as the protagonist and Zahhak as empowered solely by an Ahriman bargain is superseded.
- The old Broken Sun framing as an unknown containment anomaly is superseded by the blood-key, Giza, captivity, and release history.
Standard Terminology
- Prefer Azhur's Ore (not alternate spellings) for consistency.
- Use Rule of Flow when describing the modern core framework.
- Use debt as the universal cost term (somatic and mnemonic).
