0 - World Of Nemand
Specifics & pillars of existence in the world of Nemand.
Cosmology Core
Nemand is both a planet and a consciousness-bearing world bound to the deep substrate later formalized as The Field. Its path brings it into a recurring solar regime measured in millennia. Nemand's governing civilization can also force limited early access to the solar system by spending enormous stored power; this is how its agents reach Earth before the next natural cycle.
The revised story treats the ancient Sun contact not as an unexplained containment myth but as a deliberate act of capture and corruption. A rare human bloodline can authenticate a solar interface. A Nemand power faction hunts that lineage on prehistoric Earth, using the Sun as a gate and as a prison for the original captive. The interface links Earth and Nemand without making ordinary magic limitless.
Azhur's Ore remains the bridge material associated with stable resonance. Its dispersal and the Field explain why resonance can occur in baseline reality; they do not, by themselves, explain the blood-key or the Broken Sun. Those are engineered, exceptional systems.
The Broken Sun: Gate, Prison, And Witness
The Broken Sun is a solar interface corrupted by Zahhak's Nemand alliance through the blood-key at a Giza elevation platform. It became a gate for soul transfer, an instrument of imperial access, and the prison of the first captive. Its connection to Nemand persists, but distance and the damaged system limit what can cross or act through it.
For roughly four thousand years, the captive has been forced to witness atrocities under the Sun. The Sun retains a narrow will over natural elements in the captive's former homeland and sends whispers through that channel. It cannot freely release the captive or reach Nemand on its own.
At the later Giza activation, the captive is freed and drains his own solar power to prevent any faction from taking control. The Sun's return toward its original design weakens div influence on Earth. Full mechanism and remaining costs are defined in The Tragedy of the Broken Sun.

Cycle Mechanics And Crisis Logic
Nemand cosmology is not a one-time myth; it is a repeating stress pattern.
At low-convergence phases, Field effects are diffuse and institutionally manageable. At peak-convergence phases, reality-Field coupling intensifies, making resonance stronger, debt steeper, and corruption cascades harder to contain.
This is the core cycle law: power accessibility rises at the same time systemic failure risk rises.
In practice, each cycle trends toward the same fork:
- Accept hard limits and reduced output, or
- Externalize debt through coercive systems until collapse forces correction
Most civilizations choose the second path first, then rename the bill when it comes due.
Civilizational Power: Nodes, Labor, And Predation
Large-scale magic has never been ore alone. Durable state power requires extraction infrastructure, strategic node control, and human buffers treated as expendable.
Node economies convert cosmological possibility into military and political force by moving debt away from elites and onto workers now categorized as channelers. This produces short-term stability and long-term social ruin: memory erosion, personality flattening, labor turnover, and regional ecological damage.
When regimes reject limits and escalate further, taboo paths emerge: consciousness predation, void-ore acceleration, and div proliferation. In this framework, div are not random monsters but runaway debt and predation externalized into form.
By the time a state calls this a monster problem, it is usually already a policy problem.

Taftan, Simorgh, And The Artificial Champion
Taftan is the site where Simorgh directs Negar to make Bijan. His remains and an automaton carrying a chalice of the captive's blood are consumed in Simorgh's fire. Bijan is an artificial person with an image and memory impressions of the original, not the original resurrected. His creation is a costly and exceptional rite, not a repeatable succession system.
Present-Cycle Conditions (Story Era Anchor)
The later Earth story begins under Zahhak's four-thousand-year rule:
- Zahhak's power depends on his bargain with a Nemand faction and on the corrupted solar system.
- His shoulder serpents are sustained by the brains of two young men each day.
- Negar seeks Simorgh's aid at Demavand and is sent to recover the first captive's father's bones.
- After the Sun is freed, div influence weakens and Negar's party helps Kaveh and Fereydun overthrow Zahhak.
Meanwhile, the original captive enters Nemand as a powerless human and pursues the destruction of the planet, risking the loss of every consciousness bound to it.
Whoever controls that axis will define whether the next cycle is endured, exploited, or broken.
Chronology (Compressed)
- Nemand's Cycle: Nemand approaches the solar regime on a millennial recurrence.
- Forced Early Reach: A Nemand power faction spends stored power to reach prehistoric Earth before the next cycle.
- Blood-Key Hunt: Agents establish a Mediterranean stronghold, buy political cooperation, and hunt the rare Persian lineage.
- Giza Capture: Zahhak's forces deliver the boy to Giza; champions fail to stop the Sun's corruption.
- Four Millennia Of Captivity: The boy is bound to the Sun as a witness; his family line is held on Nemand.
- Negar And Bijan: Simorgh sends Negar from Demavand to Taftan and then to Giza.
- The Sun Is Freed: The original captive drains his power and flees through the opening to Nemand.
- Divided Liberation: Negar's party aids Kaveh and Fereydun against Zahhak while the captive wages his fifty-year Nemand campaign.
