Reality itself transforms with the orbit of Sepehr-e-Nohom (the Ninth Planet). Every 10,000 years, magic fades and returns, civilizations rise and fall, and humanity faces the ultimate test of consciousness.
The Five Phases
Phase 1: The Forgetting (Years 1-2,000)
Previous cycle's magic fades completely. Humanity rebuilds from near-extinction. Myths become the only memory of the past, and mundane reality dominates. This is the reset period—allowing souls to settle on the 9th planet and begin shaping the next cycle's ore.
Phase 2: The Awakening (Years 2,000-4,000)
First whispers of new powers emerge. Ores exhibit strange properties. Prophets speak of visions, and the boundaries between myth and reality blur. Wild random occurrences begin—unpredictable power manifestations based on the previous cycle's imprints.
Phase 3: The Flowering (Years 4,000-7,000)
Magic reaches full manifestation. Civilizations adapt to this new reality. Heroes and monsters emerge according to the dominant mythology shaped by previous cycle's souls. The weapons and skills valued in the previous cycle determine current enchantment types.
Phase 4: The Approach (Years 7,000-9,500)
Sepehr-e-Nohom becomes visible in the night sky. Magical powers intensify dramatically. Ancient entities—both benevolent Yazatas and malevolent divs—begin manifesting in their fragmented forms. Jamshid's Golden Age occurred during this phase (Years 7,000-8,500), when divs were systematically eliminated and civilization reached its zenith.
Phase 5: The Alignment (Years 9,500-10,000)
The Critical Period. Pyramids activate as gateways to the 9th planet. The battle for humanity's consciousness reaches its climax. Heroes must prevent the soul-vacuum mechanism or all conscious life will be harvested, leaving only soulless husks. We are currently 800 years from this moment.
The Echo Principle: Why Bows Beat Guns
Each cycle's magic is shaped by the souls that arrived at the 9th planet from the previous cycle. Their experiences, emotions, and valued skills crystallize into ore properties for the next cycle.
Our Current Cycle: The previous cycle emphasized conscious archery, personal combat, craftsmanship, and emotional philosophy. Therefore:
- Bows enhanced with magic are 500-1000% more effective than guns
- Handcrafted items hold enchantments 10x longer than factory-produced
- Conscious engagement (meditation, awareness, presence) empowers magic
- The Pair of Threes laws emerged from their philosophical understanding
