Writer's Encounter Design Checklist
When planning supernatural encounter:
- Check Protagonist Tier: Encounter should be challenging but not impossible
- Check Current Location: Use region-appropriate entities
- Check Time/Season: Use temporally-appropriate entities
- Check Protagonist Alignment: High Spenta sees/attracts different entities than high Angra
- Determine Encounter Purpose: Combat, test, information, atmosphere?
- Prepare Non-Combat Solution: Most entities can be avoided/negotiated with (player choice)
- Consider Aftermath: How does encounter change protagonist or world?

Integration with Existing Lore
All creatures connect to established systems:
- Pair of Threes: Each div corrupts specific law (Spazg = Dāvar, Nasu = Darmāndan, etc.)
- Spenta vs. Angra: Clear alignment system
- Tier Scaling: Power levels match protagonist progression
- Regional Magic: Provincial consciousness differences
- Cycle Cosmology: Entities exist because of 9th planet/the Broken Sun's Shield
Consistency Achieved: Massive bestiary integrated without contradicting core world-building. Every creature has mechanical explanation within established magic system.
Sources integrated from Eranshahr Myths Directory (245 documented Iranian mythical creatures), Zoroastrian scripture (Bundahishn, Avesta), and regional Persian folklore. All adapted to fit Némand's consciousness-based magic system.
